The Order Expert’s 2015 Year in Review

Before we roll over the calendar, it’s worth taking a few moments to review what happened this past year.

In this post, I’m going to take a walk through the calendar year and look at all the exciting things that took place in 2015 on The Order Expert.

It’s a change from my regular posts, but as I always say, there is great power in reviewing where you’ve been.

Before we get started, I’d like to thank several people…

It is a true honor to be able to help you live a more organized and balanced life. I hope you are enjoying my posts as much as I enjoy writing them. Thank you for your continued support!

To my family and friends: You give me so much support, encouragement, inspiration and love. You have shaped this blog with your thoughts, suggestions, and comments, and have been tremendously helpful to me. I really couldn’t do it without you. I am so lucky to have you in my life. I also had two guest posts appear on Lifehack.org, Everyone Should Know These 10 Tips Before Returning to Work After Vacation, and 10 Bad Habits Which Always Destroy Your Productivity.

The Order Expert LogoThe Order Expert celebrated it’s 4th anniversary on April 30th!

I unveiled a brand-new theme for the blog, as well as a new logo.

The piece was also picked up by Country Living and House Beautiful.

June

Image of screenshot of bulletin.swarthmore.eduJune was a busy month! I had several media appearances including the Daily Worth article, 7 Tricks to Better Manage Your Time, which was subsequently picked up by TIME and Money.

Good Housekeeping ran another article with my tips, 9 Storage Tools Pro Organizers NEVER Use. The article also appeared in Woman’s Day, MSN Lifestyle, and Country Living Magazine.

I appeared in Healthy Wealthy Affiliate’s blog post, How to Achieve Goals that Bring Success in Life and Profits in Business: 35 Experts Reveal their Goal Setting Activities & Secrets. The article is full of goal-setting information and tools.

Finally, I had the privilege of being selected as a featured alumna for my alma mater’s magazine, Swarthmore College Bulletin.

I was interviewed by about my work and blog, and helped organize a professor’s office on campus.

I launched my first time management book, The Order Expert’s Guide to Time Management, a step-by-step guide to better managing your time.

I appeared in the Daily Worth article, Why You Keep Overscheduling Yourself and How to Stop. The piece was later picked up by Money.

Every year near Halloween, I write a special monster-themed post. I don’t always get to write fiction, so this is always a fun post to write. This year’s post was entitled, A Ghoul’s Guide to Time Management: An Interview with a Goblin, Gorgon, and Swamp Creature.

I had a guest post appearance on Time Management Ninja with the article, 5 Smart Ways to Stay on Schedule.

November

I appeared on Levo League in the article, 11 Differences Between Busy People and Productive People, and on Vibrant Nation in 4 Tips for Decluttering as You Decorate for the Holidays.

I also started my holiday gift guides this month: Office Organizing Gift Guide 15 Great Ideas for a Tidy Workspace, Bathroom Organizing Gift Guide: 16 Stunning Ideas for a Neat Bath, and Hallway Organizing Gift Guide: 18 Incredible Ideas for an Efficient Entryway.

December

I had another Vibrant Nation appearance, Professional Tips for the Most Organized, Uncluttered, and Easy-to-Use Holiday Storage Ever, as well as another appearance on Levo League in How to Be the Person Who *Never* Misses a Deadline.

I finished up my holiday gift guides, Bedroom Organizing Gift Guide: 19 Nifty Ideas for a Beautiful Bedroom, and Kitchen Organizing Gift Guide: 17 Smart Ideas for a Clean Kitchen.

Wow! As you can see, 2015 was quite a remarkable year for The Order Expert.
