Do you want to take a five minute break from work?

Are you looking for ways to take a productive break so you can feel rested and refreshed?

If your mind is feeling muddled, confused, and overwhelmed…you might just need to take a five minute break!

When’s the last time you took a solid five-minute break?

That is, a complete and total break from whatever it is you happen to be working on at the moment.

Five minutes may not seem like a long period of time.

But even a short break can help you refresh and refocus your attention.

In this post, you’ll find several different tips to help you take a five minute break with ease.

So, what are you waiting for?

Take your five minute break.

You deserve it!

Change your physical location.

One of the easiest ways to take a five minute break is to make a change to your physical location.

Just approach the opposite of whatever it is you’re currently doing.

If you’re currently sitting sitting down, stand up for a bit. Have you been standing for some time? Sit down.

If you’re currently working indoors, go outdoors. And if you’ve been working outdoors, head on indoors.

What if you are unable to move outdoors? Try moving to a different location in your office, building, apartment, or home.

And what if you’ve been still? Maybe it’s time for a brisk walk outdoors or an impromptu dance break jamming to your favorite tunes.

Let your imagination run wild.

When’s the last time you let your mind wander from all daily cares and concerns?

Give your mind and imagination a chance to run wild. Get creative. Break your current state.

Look outside your window to see what’s going on in your neighborhood.

Pick up a pencil and doodle in a notebook.

Think about which exotic location you’d next like to visit for your annual vacation.

Consider doing nothing at all.

If you’re really looking for a break from your work, consider doing absolutely nothing at all.

And by absolutely nothing, I mean just that…absolutely nothing!

Do you have the patience to sit or stand still for five whole minutes?

Unfortunately, most people cannot fathom the idea of doing absolutely nothing.

However, you’re not most people!

Here’s how to give yourself a full five minute break.

Set a timer for five minutes.

Next, keep your eyes open or closed. The idea here is to just be still and relax.

Yes, those five minutes might seem like an absolute eternity, but couldn’t you use a mini-vacation today?

Again, just go ahead and relax.

It will be time to get back to work before you know it.
